Despite the abundance of small bones and the smell characteristic of freshwater inhabitants, you can create a real culinary masterpiece from an ordinary fish.

A few tips for cooking bream

  • To get rid of the unpleasant smell of fish, sprinkle the fish with lemon juice, or even better, soak it in the juice for an hour (take a whole lemon for one liter of water).
  • When frying bream, do not make thick pieces, then they will fry evenly. The ideal thickness of steaks is 3 centimeters, otherwise the top of the fish will be fried and the inside will remain green.
  • Place the steaks only in hot oil, then the fish will not stick to the pan and you can easily turn it over to the other side.
  • Another simple trick: sprinkle the oil over the entire surface of the pan with salt, and then arrange the steaks. True, this salt must be taken into account when you salt the fish itself.
  • The fish meat will become much softer if you marinate it in lemon juice. To improve the taste of Karshi, put various herbs and spices in its belly, the meat will have time to soak from the inside while cooking.

There are many recipes, how to bake bream in the oven. I have chosen the most popular for you. In sour cream with the usual set of spices. Karsi is baked in the oven cut into steaks, so I advise you to take large specimens weighing no less than a kilogram. Then there will be fewer bones.

You will need:

  • Heat - 2-3 units
  • Onions - 2 heads.
  • Garlic - 8 cloves.
  • Sour cream - 1/3 cup.
  • Mayonnaise - 1/3 cup.
  • Flour - 4 large spoons.
  • Sunflower oil
  • A mixture of salt and pepper.

  • Wash the fish, gut it, remove the scales, cut off the tail, fins and head. Wash the fish thoroughly inside and out.
  • Cut the pork into small steaks.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Mix salt and pepper on a plate. Dust another plate with flour.
  • First roll the pieces in spices, then in flour. Place in a pan, fry until lightly browned.
  • Make garlic sauce by mixing sour cream with mayonnaise and chopped garlic in a bowl. Add a little salt, mix well.
  • Then take care of the onion - cut it into large half rings and also fry it a little (you can fry the bream in the same oil).
  • Fold the prepared steaks into an oiled form, sprinkle onion half rings on top. Pour garlic sauce over everything and send it to the oven.
  •  bake in an oven heated to 180 degrees. Cooking time 40-45 min.
