Feeder fishing in Lithuania
After trying it bottom the joys of fishing and after watching several videos of feeder fishing in Lithuania, I decided that I want to dive into this one a fun way to fish – feeder fishing. But before that you need to prepare accordingly. If there is a bottom fishing rod, it is suitable for feeder fishing, but only in the river. My goal as a beginner is the lake. So I had to read a lot and browse the internet to find the right one for me. So let's move on to the kind of feeder I was looking for.
Since my goal in fishing will be mainly bream, I chose the rod for catching this fish. I would divide my choice into several criteria. About which I will tell you.
The first criterion is weight. Since feeder fishing in Lithuania is very intensive, the fishing rod should be light. Casting every 5 minutes creates a lot of casts during fishing. So logically, if the kit is heavy on the fishing end, the casts will be inaccurate and you will no longer feel your hand. So I decided to limit the weight to 250g.
The second criterion is the weight of the cast. Since there will be no current in the lakes I will be fishing, there is no point in getting too heavy. I will also try to avoid long throws. But I think I will back the cast by choosing the right line.
The third criterion is length. Having chosen the weight of the rod up to 250g, I automatically limited myself to its length. After browsing online stores for budget fishing rods, it became clear that the length will be 3.6 meters. I am completely satisfied with the length. Most feeder pros also suggest starting at 3.6.
