Dainava Cup 2025 COMPETITION PARTICIPANTS:
All adults over 18 years of age can participate in the competition, who have registered in advance and paid the competition entry fee (€80 per team). Registration for the competition is in advance. Registration will not be carried out at the competition site. AGENDA: June 28 (Saturday): 06:00 – 07:00 – briefing of competition participants and drawing of lots for sectors, opening of the competition; 07:30 – 1st signal – entrance to sectors; 09:00 – 2nd signal – start of the competition; 14:55 – 4th signal – 5 minutes left until the end of the competition; 15:00 – 5th signal – end of the competition and weighing of catches; 16:00 – calculation and announcement of competition results, awarding of winners. The competition organizers reserve the right to change the competition agenda, informing the participants in advance.
Dainava Cup 2025 COMPETITION REGULATIONS:
1) Competition duration (excluding preparation) – 6 hours. 2) The competition is a team competition of two people (the competition will not be conducted on the TANDEM principle). Participants will be divided into four zones A and B (concrete embankment) and C and D (meadow); One team representative will fish in zone A or B, the other in zone C or D. 3) The draw will be based on registration. Whoever registers first, draws first. 5) The number of competition participants is limited. Registration will be stopped when the limit of 30 teams is reached. 6) After briefing and drawing of lots, athletes move to their sector and can start preparing equipment immediately. 7) The maximum allowed amount of bait per team member is UNLIMITED. The amount of bait is UNLIMITED. 9) Baits and lures must be of natural origin. Artificial baits (made of metal, rubber, foam, etc.) imitating mosquito larvae, fly larvae, worms, dead fish, artificial flies, etc. are prohibited. 10) It is allowed to use such a system (In Line) that the fish, if the line breaks, can freely break free from the feeder. It is not allowed to use any limiters or silicone dampers on the main line between the feeder and the tip of the fishing rod. 11) During the competition, baiting is allowed only with feeders. The following feeder sizes are allowed for feeding and catching: diameter - no more than 5 cm, length - no more than 7 cm. 12) The use of a shock leader is not mandatory when assembling the system. When using a shock leader, the feeder must easily slide through the shock leader knot. The minimum distance from the hook to the bottom of the feeder is at least 50 cm. It is prohibited to tighten the system tied to the line during the inspection. 13) Fishing using the "method" method is prohibited. 14) Fishing with a weight during the competition is prohibited. 15) During the competition, the participant catches only within the boundaries of the sector allocated to him, no outside help is allowed. Only one fishing rod is caught at a time, using only one hook in the system. The number of spare fishing rods is not limited. 16) The fish is kept in a net (sling) no shorter than 3 meters long. During the competition, the net must be submerged in the water to its maximum length. Other methods of holding the caught fish are prohibited. 17) The participant must try to ensure that all fish survive until weighing - releasing back into the water. 18) When the participant leaves the sector during the competition, the system (hook, sling) cannot be in the water. 19) Only team coaches and assistants are allowed to enter the sectors of their team members. There can be only one team representative in the team sector at a time: the coach or assistant coach. Judges have the right to enter the sector of each team. 20) Athletes are prohibited from using phones, headphones, walkie-talkies, echo sounders during the competition. 21) All fish of the size and type specified in the MŽT (amateur fishing rules) are counted. 22) Only those fish that are lifted out of the water by the finish signal are counted. 23) If a team puts a fish into the sieve that was still in the water after the finish signal, the largest fish will be released from the sieve before weighing. 24) After weighing, all fish are released back into the water body. The winner of the competition is determined by the weight of the fish of the allowed size caught. 25) By paying the entry fee, participants confirm that they assume responsibility for their own safety, inventory and injuries. 26) The entry fee is non-refundable, but if there is an opportunity to participate, the place can be transferred to other colleagues.
