Fishing Club "Karpiukas" Cup 2024

REGULATIONS

REGISTRATION, START FEE, COMPETITION PLACE

1.1. The competition is organized by the fishing club "Carp".

1.2. Place of the competition - Tvenkinių st. 6, Povilai, Kintos sen., Šilutė district, Kintai (Kinto Canal)

1.3. The date of the competition is June 29 and 30, 2024.

1.4. Competitions are held in individual competition.

1.5. All persons who have reserved their place and paid the entry fee can participate in the competition. Minors can only participate with an accompanying adult.

1.6. The participant's entry fee is 70 EUR, of which 20 EUR is the seat reservation fee paid at the time of registration. If the participant does not come to the competition or refuses to participate, the reservation fee is not refunded.

1.7. Participants can be registered in the competition only after paying the seat reservation fee in advance, which is collected until June 25.

1.8. By paying the competition entry fee, the participant confirms that he agrees with the regulations and rules of the competition, and also assumes full responsibility for health disorders, various injuries and death. Also agrees that the participant's name and surname and visual material taken during the competition may be publicly published on social networks and other mass media.

"Karpiukas" cup 2024 COMPETITION FORMAT

2.1. The maximum number of competition participants is 40. The minimum sector width is 18 meters per participant. The duration of the competition is two days after 7:00 a.m. Contestants are divided into zones. When the number of participants is 26 or less, the participants of the competition are divided into two zones, if the number of participants is more than 27, then the participants are divided into 3 or 4 zones.

2.2. In case of important circumstances (restrictions announced by the Government, etc.), the date and time of the competition may be changed.

2.3. Competition schedule:

 

June 29:

6:30-7:00 draw

7:00-9:00 preparation in sectors;

8:50 a.m. - start of coziness;

9:00 - start of the competition;

16:00 - the end of the competition;

16:00-17:00 - weighing.

June 30th:

8:50 a.m. - start of coziness;

9:00 - start of the competition;

16:00 - the end of the competition;

16:00-18:00 - weighing, calculation of results and announcement of winners.

2.4. Each participant can move towards the sector after the draw. Car parking on the main road (gravel road) near the wintering ponds. It is forbidden to drive a car to the fishing spot. Each participant transports things from the parking lot to his sector. Other persons can also help the participant to transport things.

2.5. Each participant has 120 min. prepare your gear, baits, etc. During your preparation, you can check and explore the bottom, within your sector, using a scan weight or hookless feeder. The use of sonar is prohibited.

2.6. After the start signal, no equipment or objects can be brought into the sectors. Any outside assistance is prohibited except in case of accident or injury.

Lures, baits, tools and method of catching

3.1. Flirting starts 10 minutes before. until the start of the competition. Baiting can only be done using the permitted feeders listed in p. 3.4. Baiting by hand, Spomba, rocket, boat, wires or other electrical means is prohibited.

3.2. Baits and lures - of natural origin are allowed (both live - earthworms, fly larvae, and dead - corn, "pellets" and "wafters" whose size is not limited). Artificial (plastic, silicone) baits are prohibited. The use of meat, bread, pastes, maggots and joker is prohibited. It is possible to prepare additional bait during the competition, the bait must be prepared by hand. It is forbidden to mix the bait with battery spinners during the competition.

3.3. The total amount of baits and additives is no more than 20 liters, the amount of live baits in that amount is no more than 1 liter and the amount of liquid additives is no more than 1 liter. There is no limit to the size of boilers and pellets.

3.4. Fishing is possible only with "flat", "method", "dura banjo", "pellet feeder", "hybrid" type in-line feeders. The minimum weight of the feeder is 15g. The maximum permissible dimensions of the feeder container are: 7 cm long and 5 cm wide.

3.5. Fishing is only possible with hooks without hooks. Hooks may not be larger than 10 no., and the maximum distance between the stinger and the shank should not exceed 7 mm.

3.6. Leash lengths from 5 cm to 25 cm are allowed.

3.7. The use of braided line as a main line is prohibited. Braided line can only be used for shockleader and leashes.

3.8. One fishing rod with one hook is caught at a time. It is possible to leave the sector only after pulling out the fishing rod and warning the nearby competitor or the judge. After leaving the sector, the fishing rod cannot be left in the working position.

3.9. The fish must be caught within its sector.

3.10. A fish taken with a competitor's line or system does not count as a catch and must be released under the watch of the competition judge or competitor. When pulling a fish and touching or hooking an opponent's line, but not pulling the opponent's system or line out of the water with the fish being pulled, the pulled fish counts as a catch.

3.11. Rods with a maximum length of 15 ft (4.5 m) are permitted.

3.12. The feeders should slide easily on the line. It is forbidden to put any brake or retarder (e.g. silicone) between the feeder or the reel.

3.13. Deliberate improper hooking or spinning of fish is prohibited.

"Karpiukas" cup 2024 Fish, keeping and weighing fish

4.1. Predatory fish - pike, catfish, starling, perch are not counted.

4.2. One net can hold no more than 25 kg of fish. Must have at least 2 nets and 5 fish bags. Fish must be kept in nets no shorter than 3 m, the net must be made of a material that does not harm the fish. Metal or silver meshes are prohibited. The net must be submerged under water for at least 1.5 meters during all competitions. It is forbidden to put fish weighing more than 5 kg in the fish keeping nets. Fish heavier than 5 kg must be kept in special bags for storing carp. Only 1 fish can be kept per bag.

4.3. If the fish is hooked at the end of the competition before the competition signal, it is necessary to inform the participants fishing nearby and the fish taken after the end of the competition signal is counted.

4.4. There will be no intermediate weigh-ins during the competition.

4.5. At the end of the competition, it is allowed to take the fish out of the water only after approaching the judges. The fish taken out of the water must be placed on the "mat". Each participant is responsible for keeping the fish alive and harming them as little as possible.

4.6. After catching a fish, it is forbidden to lay it on the ground, a special "measure-trough" must be used for this.

 Coaches, assistant coaches and spectators

5.1 Each participant must notify the competition organizers when he/she comes to the competition with a coach.

5.2. One coach can represent several participants.

5.3. Trainers are only allowed to enter the sectors of the participants they represent. Coaches are only allowed to provide verbal assistance to the participant they represent. Any physical assistance is prohibited.

5.4. Spectators and outsiders are prohibited from entering any sector. Spectators can observe and interact with participants only by keeping a distance.

 Penalties and bans during the competition

6.1. The organizer of the competition gives the persons appointed as judges the right to impose penalties (yellow and red cards) on the participants of the competition for inappropriate behavior or non-compliance with the rules of the competition.

6.2. Competition judges, during the preparation and competition, are allowed to enter the sectors and ask the competitor to show the elements of the equipment used in the competition and the amount of baits.

6.3. For gross violations (public consumption of alcohol during the competition, insulting the judges, hooking a fish), a red card may be assigned and the weight of the fish caught by the participant during the competition is not evaluated.

6.4. Contestants are prohibited from displaying and consuming alcoholic beverages in public. Disrespectful behavior towards judges, participants and spectators is prohibited. During the competition, it is forbidden to bring auxiliary equipment, additional baits into the sector. It is prohibited to receive extraneous physical assistance during the competition. During the competition, smoking is prohibited within the boundaries of the sector. Smoking is allowed only after removing the fishing rod and leaving the sector.

6.5. A competitor is prohibited from starting the competition if he does not have a suitable "mat-trough" for placing the fish and the nets listed in point 4.2 for holding the fish.  

 Awards

7.1. Karpiukas Cup 2024 participants will be divided into zones (eg 36 participants will be divided into 3 zones of 12 participants each). The participant of each zone is ranked according to the weight of the fish caught, the participant who caught the heaviest fish weight gets 1 penalty point, the one in second place gets 2, etc. After two stages, after adding up all the penalty points, the participant with the least penalty points is declared the winner. 

7.2. The participants of the "Karpiukas" Cup 2024 competition will be awarded with cups, cash prizes and gifts established by the competition's sponsors after reaching the prize places.
