Wobblers for pike fishing have become one of the main baits in the fisherman's box. But not all wobblers catches well in our lakes and rivers. I will try to present the most popular and baitiest wobblers that work in Lithuanian water bodies. I will not expand on the characteristics of wobblers, I have written a separate article for that, which you can find by clicking here. Let's get straight to the wobblers. Wobblers are not listed from best to worst or vice versa.
Wobblers for pike fishing
ZipBaits Orbit
ZipBaits Orbit in order to ensure a good throwing distance, wobbler equipped with the original system "Mag Drive Super High Balanced System" consisting of a freely sliding tungsten cylinder, which allows you to throw the bait very far and provides stability for the work of the wobbler in current or stagnant water, also thanks to this system and the geometry of its body, this wobbler will work perfectly when guided "stop" and go” or twitching.
The most popular wobblers for pike fishing are 110 and 130 mm long. Wobblers have neutral buoyancy (Suspender). The depth of immersion is 1-1.2 meters.
Megabass Vision OneTen
The wobbler has a realistic appearance, resembling a small fish. The wobbler is equipped with a balancing system consisting of two tungsten balls, which, when cast, move to the end of the tail.
The wobbler is 110 mm long and comes in two versions: Floating, with a hooking depth of 0 to 1 meter, and Neutral (Suspender), with a hooking depth of 0.8 to 1.2 meters. The weight of the wobbler of both modifications is 14 grams.
The wobbler is easy to operate and allows both beginners and experienced for fishermen to effectively catch pike. Fishing can be done using a steady pull, stop'n'go casting or twitching.
Jackall Mag Squad
Wobbler Jackall Mag Squad is a classic wobbler with an elongated thin body. The body of the wobbler is made of durable hard plastic.
Due to the long casting system, the wobbler has good flight characteristics. The wobbler comes with two noise chambers that contain three types of balls of different diameters made of different materials. Larger balls produce a strong, low-pitched sound that travels a greater distance. Small balls make a high-frequency sound and a higher pitch, thus attracting the attention of the pike.
Wobblers come in three sizes:
- 115 mm length, weight - 16 grams, crochet depth - 0.8-1.2 meters.
- 128 mm long - 21 grams, crochet depth - 1-1.5 meters.
- The 160 mm long wobbler weighs 33.5 grams, and the hooking depth is 0-2 meters.
All wobbler models have neutral buoyancy (Suspender).
It can be pulled evenly and used for trolling, but twitching reveals the full potential of the wobbler.
The wobbler catches medium and large pike well. Also searching pike at a shallow depth in overgrown, muddy areas of water bodies.
Deps Balisong
Deps Balisong wobbler has a long-range casting system - Variable Balancer System, so it has good flight characteristics. The wobbler emits an interesting sound, called "bumpee sound" by the manufacturer. This additionally attracts the attention of pike and increases the possibility of baiting.
The manufacturer produces a wobbler in two versions: a floating 130 mm long wobbler weighing 21.3 grams and diving to a depth of 1-1.8 meters and a 130 mm long neutral (Suspender) weighing 24.8 grams and a depth of 1.3 gram and the crochet depth is 2 meters. The Suspender model is the most popular among fishermen.
The wobbler has its own unique game and can be cast evenly, but is more effective when twitching. The wobbler wanders widely from side to side and shakes the sides. When twitching, you should pause for up to 7 seconds.
Lucky Craft Pointer
Lucky Craft Pointer looks like something intermediate between minnow class and shad class wobblers. In their body shape, they resemble a roach, a perch or a roach, which are the main objects of food for pike in many reservoirs.
The wobbler is equipped with a long-range magnetic casting system, which consists of metal balls moving along a longitudinal channel in the wobbler body and a magnet attached to the front of the wobbler body. During casting, the metal balls move to the tail of the wobbler, thus ensuring a good casting distance and accuracy. During casting, the metal balls move to the tail of the wobbler and are attached by a magnet.
The wobbler is equipped with an original balancing system, which consists of a rigidly fixed metal ball in the nose of the wobbler and a pair of brass weights in the central part of the wobbler.
The manufacturer produces the Lucky Craft Pointer lure in lengths of 65, 78, 100 and 128 mm. For pike fishing the most effective bait is a 100 mm long wobbler with a weight of 18 grams and a hook depth of 1.2-1.5 meters and a 128 mm long wobbler with a weight of 28 grams and a hook depth of 1.2-1.5 meters.
OSP Rudra
Wobbler OSP Rudra is a legendary minnow class wobbler. The wobbler has a high, thin cut, the body is compressed from the sides. The body of the wobbler is made using Honey Comb HP Body technology. The body structure acts as stiffeners, due to which the wobbler has a relatively low mass and high strength.
The wobbler balancing and long casting system is implemented using fixed metal plates and metal moving balls. The plates are located in the head and in the middle part at the bottom of the wobbler body, ensuring the lowest possible center of gravity. Metal balls move inside the body, moving to the tail of the wobbler during casting, ensuring maximum casting distance and accuracy. The number of balls and the material they are made of vary depending on the type of wobbler buoyancy. During casting, the balls move slightly, changing the center of gravity of the bait and thus providing an interesting wobbler game, and also creates a quiet sound that attracts the attention of the predator.
The manufacturer produces a wobbler of several modifications:
- sinking (S) 130 mm long, weighing 20 grams, hook depth 0-2.5 meters
- Neutral (SP) 130 mm long, weighing 20 grams, crochet depth 1.5 -2 meters
- Floating (F) 130 mm long, 17 grams weight, hook depth 0.7-1.5 meters
The wobbler works most effectively during twitching, but it can also be done with slow pulling.
Jackall Tiny Magallon
The Jackall Tiny Magallon wobbler is a combination wobbler with neutral buoyancy. The wobbler has a body consisting of two parts. The wobbler is equipped with a soft silicone tail, which makes the wobbler game more expressive. There are balls inside the body of the wobbler, which make the game more interesting as they move during casting, and also create noise that attracts the attention of predatory fish.
The wobbler is perfect for catching pike in shallow areas of ponds, above underwater vegetation, in water vegetation gaps, along reeds.
Good results in catching pike are shown by stop'n'go, when 3-4 turns of the reel are replaced by a pause of 3-7 seconds. The wobbler is very effective when twitching, when two short jerks of low force are followed by a short pause, the duration of which depends on the activity of the predator.
