The choice of spinning for fishing - this question has been asked by almost every angler at least once in his life. If you decide to buy a spinning rod, then I advise you to find an experienced angler among your friends, let him help you choose. Before going to the store to buy spinning, you need to know approximately the following things:

  • amount you can afford for spinning
  • the expected size of future trophies
  • type of fishing and fishing conditions
  • type and weight of artificial bait
  • Cast distance

How to choose a spinning length for fishing

If you intend to fish from the shore or by boat in small and medium-sized rivers, canals, ponds and lakes (about 120 m wide), then I advise you to choose a spinning length of 2.1-2.7 meters. For those who go fishing from the shore in large rivers, with deep holes, in large lakes and ponds, I advise you to choose a spinning rod of 2.7 meters and more.

Spinning cast weight

Test - a spinning indicator that determines the bottom and top of the artificials used baits mass limits. In order to choose a spinning reel for fishing, you need to decide what weight of artificial lures you will use while fishing. The lower test is the lowest value of the weight of the bait. Simply put, if the weight of the bait is equal to the value of the lower test, then you will feel its game with the rod when reeling such a bait, and if the weight of the bait is less, you will not feel the game of the bait when making passes.

Cast weight is the most important feature of spinning. Shows the weight range in which the baits used must fit. The upper limit of the test is the permissible weight limit, if you systematically exceed it, sooner or later you will break the rod. The lower limit is the minimum weight of the jig head or wobbler. But remember that the manufacturer does not always honestly, exactly down to the gram, indicate the rod test.

What is the action of the spinning wish

Spinning rods differ in terms of performance. Link shares are:

  • Fast (Ex. Fast, Fast)
  • Medium (Medium fast, Medium)
  • Slow

It is generally accepted according to inclination to classify spinnings into Extra Fast – begins to bend in the range up to 1/4 of the length of the blank from the top and usually like this spinning is very fast, that is, when throwing the bait, it returns to its original position very quickly. Fast spinning begins to lean about 1/3 the length of the blank from the top. Medium Fast (also sometimes called Moderate Fast) spinning tends slightly below the first third.  Medium leans slightly above the middle of the blank, Slow – begins to bend below the middle, closer to the handle.
